Registration Guidlines

The following are some guidlines to somewhat standardize the information on this site. We ask that you adhere to these terms to keep this site as accurate as possible.

Start Date

    The start date of your project should signify the time when you became "serious" about this hobby. This is a very tricky field, but we ask that you put the most HONEST date possible. It won't help if everybody is saying they drew a sketch in 1997, then took a 4 year break and started serious planning in 2001. In such cases, please use 2001 as your start date.

Using Thumbnails / Pictures

    Thumbnails will be shown as very small previews. Please use the smallest picture possible for this link, or else the site load time will become drastic. Large photos will only be shown on your detail page, but it will be displayed at a standard size. Please keep photos to a reasonable size (less than 200K)

    Sim Spares doesn't actually allow you to upload photos, so you will have to link to them from your own location. Simply copy and paste the complete URL, to the photo of your choice on your web site, and it will be displayed on the page accordingly.
